This is the highest trek in the world. A highlight of this trip is the visit to Everest Base Camp, and the trek to North Col at 7000m., where the sheer grandeur of Everest's north face you have to see to believe. This trek takes you as close to the summit of Everest as any non-climber can go. This adventure, the highest trek in the world, is an incredible journey to North Col via the East Rongbuk Glacier. Nowhere else on this planet can you hike on trail to such a high elevation without much of mountaineering skills.
Things begin when you arrive in Kathmandu. Our staff will meet you at the Kathmandu airport and transfer you to the hotel. Next day, we introduce you with expedition member and crews. You'll have a full day of sightseeing while we obtain your Tibet visa and other necessary documents for this expedition.
Then we drive overland to the North Face of Mount Everest through this amazing country, staying in the best traditional hotels Tibet has to offer. We explore further monasteries and fully immerse ourselves in the Buddhist culture.
On this trip, we will follow the Friendship Highway through some of the most amazing landscape on Earth. We'll pass small Tibetan settlements, nomadic herdsmen wandering across the wide arid plains and awe-inspiring mountain peaks. Equally as fascinating is the wealth of cultural interest where we pass through on our journey.
When we drive from Tingri to Base camp 5200m along the rough way jerking & bouncing through the grassy plain way, it leads you to the Everest Base Camp; and it is called the Chinese base camp as well.
We set up our camp at Chinese Base Camp and stay two nights or more and it depends on our members feeling. We also make schedules of the yaks by that time. Now the walk towards the ABC starts from here.
We reach to ABC 6400m along with the Yaks. From ABC, the route goes to the east Rongbuk (Everest Base) glacier. The route again goes through a series of rocky climbs, and then there is a median angled snow slopes where we have to climb on mixed rocks and snow. Now this camp is on the rock but some times ago, it was covered by snow. To reach there, we have to fix the ropes on climbing but there are safety lines, which provide you safe place when you are tired and the wind blowing there. This route is mostly very windy.
After that there are icy pinnacles, snowy surface and breathtaking views as we reach our destination – Mt. Everest North Col at 7000m!
